Halloween

 Wikipedia

Today's Halloween customs are thought to have been influenced by folk customs and beliefs from the Celtic-speaking countries, some of which are believed to have pagan roots. Jack Santino, a folklorist, writes that "there was throughout Ireland an uneasy truce existing between customs and beliefs associated with Christianity and those associated with religions that were Irish before Christianity arrived"

It is celebrated on October 31st to commemorate those who died recently or longer ago.

I wish you all a happy Halloween

A Happy Halloween to you, Reader Wil! Our dogs will be wondering why we haven't dome pumpkin portraits of them.

Happy Halloween to you to Wil. It will be a quiet one for us as we've kind of outgrown the celebration and there are no small children in our neighborhood. My kids and grandkids used to be so excited about this Holiday when they were small.

Happy Halloween, my least favorite Holiday. I never did like it, even as a child.
Hope you've been well. We're about the same. Have a great Sunday. Have some things to clean up in the kitchen and also some clocks to change. I also don't like that. I know, now I'm sounding like a crabby old lady, well I did turn 79 this past Tuesday the 27th and Abe turned 81 this past Sunday the 25, I think we're both getting crotchety. LOL
