ABC Wednesday, U of United States, that's My World

Wikipedia:
"The president is indirectly elected by the people through the Electoral College to a four-year term, and is one of only two nationally elected federal officers, the other being the Vice President of the United States. The Twenty-second Amendment, adopted in 1951, prohibits anyone from ever being elected to the presidency for a third full term. It also prohibits a person from being elected to the presidency more than once if that person previously had served as president, or acting president, for more than two years of another person's term as president. In all, 43 individuals have served 44 presidencies (counting Cleveland's two non-consecutive terms separately) spanning 56 full four-year terms. On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama became the 44th and current president. On November 6, 2012, he was re-elected. This second term ends at noon on January 20, 2017. Donald Trump, having won the 2016 presidential election, is expected to be inaugurated shortly after noon."

There was a time that the USA was very popular in my country. But this last election splits the world in two parts that hate each other. The new president will have to do a hell of a job to unite the country again. He will represent the whole western world too.

Our World Tuesday., ABC Wednesday, U for Unesco

A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a site that has been nominated for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's international World Heritage program.

The program aims to catalogue and preserve sites of outstanding importance, either cultural or natural, to the common heritage of humankind.

All of these sites I have seen in reality and taken photos of, only the photos of Great Barrier Reef are from Steve Parish.

We saw in Greece Acropolis of Athens.

The Bent Pyramid is a unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, about 2596 BCE. This was the second pyramid built by Sneferu.

There are three pyramids at Giza, each of which once had an adjoining mortuary temple. Attached to this temple would have been a covered causeway descending down to a valley temple, near the Nile. The 'great' pyramid itself is truly an astonishing work of engineering skill - for over four thousands years, until the modern era, it was the tallest building in the world.

The Pyramid of Djoser(Zoser), or step pyramid is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt, northwest of the city of Memphis. It was built for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier Imhotep, during the 27th century BC.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

United Nations Children's Fund was created by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1953, UNICEF became a permanent part of the United Nations System and its name was shortened from the original United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund but it has continued to be known by the popular acronym based on this old name. Headquartered in New York City, UNICEF provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.

UNICEF relies on contributions from governments and private donors and UNICEF's total income for 2006 was $2,781,000,000. Governments contribute two thirds of the organization's resources; private groups and some 6 million individuals contribute the rest through the National Committees. UNICEF's programs emphasize developing community-level services to promote the health and well-being of children. UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965 and the Prince of Asturias Award of Concord in 2006.
