ABC Wednesday, F for Franciscan Friary and Chapel.

One sabbath we walked to this friary, which was built in 1922. There is a warm water spring, a chapel and a fish pond. The building lays in wonderful hilly surroundings. On our way to the friary we saw some stunning views.

With thanks to Denise Nesbitt, who created ABC, and to Roger our new Captain. For more interesting ABC posts click on the logo in the sidebar. This week we are looking for words beginning with F.

Great photos and cool looking friary. I love the multiple languages in the art (French and Hebrew?).

Is that Elijah getting sent some manna by a raven? I'm trying to remember Bible characters (or my son's illustrated Bible storybooks) The wooden bench and the warm spring are very interesting to me.

I somehow missed your E post last week and have just caught up with it. So interesting about Elijah, his chair and circumcision. I had never heard that before.
Beautiful photo/paintings for F.
