Norway

My thoughts are with Norway, that beautiful peaceful country, where my family and I spent so many happy holidays. I shall think of you dear Norwegian blogging friends and I am very sad for all the lives that were lost.

It's incredible to think of the horror! How could this happen? Could one person have done all this?

I am with you in these thoughts, Wil, for poor Oslo, poor Norway.

Hello Wil,

I was stunned to learn about the horror in Norway.

It is a new age we live in these days. This must be the age of terrorism.

Spawned by some religious groups who gets the attention they seek by using terrorist's tactics against those least able to resist.

I pray for the people around the world who fall victim to them.

Awful, awful, awful. It puts own day to day worries into perspective.

I think we are all shocked by this terrible deed. Not only for the horrific losses but where it happened. Very hard to comprehend. That man is a monster.

I also was shocked and saddened by the horrific events that took place in Norway yesterday. Norway is one of the last places where one would expect such acts of terror to be carried out.

On behalf of myself and my family, and all other Norwegians concerned, I thank you for both the personal condolences and and the national condolences.

We have not experienced anything like this since WW2 - and it is partly from the same kind of people that supported the Nazis in that event.

But Norway will survive and so will our democracy

Yes - just shell-shocked here really - it is all unthinkable.

Your photograph expresses yours and all of our feeling beautifully. This tragedy is unbelievable. We live very close to Virginia Tech where the massacre took place a few years back so I have lived through such a horror. So many of the teachers I teach with went to Tech. Things like this are unimaginable. How could anyone care so little for humanity. I will never understand. My thoughts are with all of Norway and its people wherever they may be. My heart cries for the families of the lost and injured. Maybe one day they will be able to rest in peace about it all though I feel they will not. Genie
