Bench of the Week, Sky Watch, Guernsey,

After a long walk through the beautiful forest, you see in the header, where the bluebells were in full bloom, we arrived at Fermain Bay on Guernsey. We had a nice glass of ice coffee, which consists of coffee, sugar, a lot of ice cream and whipped cream. While we were sitting there on one of the many benches, we saw the fog coming in from the sea. The whole sunny place was suddenly transformed into a sinister misty country, some people got up and left the area, for it was getting cold, and in the distance we could hear the muffled sound of the foghorn.

Sky Watch is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy & Louise
Thank you so much for this great meme, it's always a pleasure to participate, and see all the other skies around the world. If you want to see some real skies please click on the logo in the side bar.

RuneE of Visual Norway

The transition from your header to the last photo is fascinating. I can easily imagine how much the fog changed the atmosphere on the coast.

Hi Reader, haven't been around for awhile so I wanted to stop by and say hi. I love this idea of a bench a week. I used to travel a lot but none any more. I am involved in some creative writing and art projects and just dabble along and enjoy so many different blogs. This post so so descriptive and have only been in a scenario like this a couple of times, in Rhode Island and Mass. So good to make contact with you. Blessings

I've been to Jersey, and it's truly a beautiful and special place. I imagine it's a bit like Guernsey. Beautiful skyshots.

What a beautiful place to be, even in the fog. There is something special about the sound of a fog horn...hauntingly beautiful, I think.

Lovely set for this week's SkyWatch. I think the fog gives the mountain top a quiet, peaceful feeling.

I love those Islands, Jersey and Guernsey! They seem to be a world appart, peaceful, and sooo beautyful! I remember the beauty of the gardens, and the lovely little houses..
Your benches are in a great spot. I would not have left, I think, the mix of fog and spring flowers must have been a mysterious and ineteresting moment!
See you next week!

Sitting there on Guernsy, watching the sky and living the easy life :-)

Beats snow clearing any day (yes, another 15 cm during the night)

What a nice spot for a picnic or at least a rest on that long bench!

I have my Friday bench up now. I keep forgetting that I did not change my screen name and my link will not take you to my bench blog but since you have it linked in your post (thank you again) I guess you won't have trouble trying to find it if you can drop by again. I missed getting time to put up a bench yesterday even tho I have plenty to keep posting them.

The fog actually makes the place look even more romantic to me.

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!

Lovely place and the turret in the background fascinated me. Probably strange of me but I love fog. It softens the edges of a scene.

Very dramatic how the change came quickly.
Is that a round fortress in the picture? If so, thanks to your previous post I now understand why it was needed. Thanks Wil.

Beautiful color, wonderful pictures.

Lovely photos and the iced coffee sounds like something I could drink. I don't normally drink coffee. But that sounds more like a dessert treat. Love your header photo. Happy week-end.

Jeannette StG said...

Oh, ice coffee beats a frappucino!
The fog makes the landscape very interesting, but it doesn't seem to dampen the people's mood, or from being on the road!
I love how that round tower looks:)
