This bench is in the front garden of the family where I stayed this summer in France. It's placed near the fountain.

You picked the right family to stay with, Wil. :) Wonderful garden they have.

And your banner picture is fantastic!

This bench looks so different from the snow covered bench you posted only a few weeks ago. The seasons are changing.

What a beautiful garden!

I love benches -- we have them scattered all over our property. Even if one hasn't time to sit and enjoy them, they offer a promise of future ease.

That looks the perfect place to sit, Wil. I love your header of Rotterdam - beautifully clear. Thank you for the e mail - wise words indeed.

I think I would want to sit and stay in that garden all day long. What a great place to enjoy a summer's day and perhaps a good book.

I would have loved to be in that garden, and especially now. Bench and garden fitted so well together - it ws a pleasure to see.

I bet that is a lovely place to set when everything is green and blooming. Have a terrific week-end.

What a neat setting for this bench! Beautiful bench also. I especially love the ironwork in the arms and the design for the back. Thanks again for linking me.

You questioned who would sit on my benches and I will tell you that I had to wait for people to move off them to take the photos. They play soccer in a building during the wet weather they have in northern Washington. The soccer field is screened in so that the balls don't hit the public watching the games. These benches are located on ground level right near the goal post. Front row seats!

I will be so glad when I can see benches again. Either snow or rain all January in Ky. Mostly snow and clouds every day, it seems. Had to get good pics with all the clouds. These are beautiful pictures.

How alluring to see at nearly twenty past four in the morning.
Wonderful photography indeed.

One wishes that all the benches would be able to provide such a beautiful sight.
Please have a nice weekend.

C’est un beau jardin mais j’aime surtout la fontaine. Est-ce en Normandie?

This is such a beautiful garden. I guess you were rested and recharged. Great place for a holiday.

Back in NZ, and the weather is 24, so very nice after 30s in Australia.
