Weekend Reflections Cornwall
Cornwall is a peninsula in the south west of Great Britain. The Cornish consider themselves not to be English. They are Celts and try to revive their language. Popularly it is claimed that the last native speaker of Cornish was the Mousehole resident Dolly Pentreath, who died in 1777. Notwithstanding her reported last words, "Me ne vidn kewsel Sowsnek!" ("I will not speak English!"), she spoke at least some English as well as fluent Cornish and may well have been one of the last to do so before the revival of the language in the 20th century.

Cornwall is a gem and Mousehole is one of its diamonds. Lovely shots.

I have always wanted to visit Cornwall - now even more so.
Nice rich colors on some of the boats, and I like how the ripples in the water distort the reflections of the masts. Nice job!
this place is such a sweet dream, thanks so much for introduced it for us! Wonderful pictures!

Wow. I love these pictures. And I loved reading about Cornwall. Very fascinating stuff.
Beautiful scene! It looks a bit cold still, but very serene and beautiful.
These are very colorful photos, Wil and filled with details. I enlarged them both.
Also glad your family will be together again soon. That will be a nice slice of time for everyone.
What a wonderful place to "waste" time and find the importance of life and time.
Please have a nice start into the weekend.

Wonderful shots and even better when enlarged.
Some native Hawaiians, notably Princess Ruth, refused to speak English too.

cool post!
Good for the Cornish. Looks like a wonderful place to be. Thanks for this post.
Very interesting.Hope they save their language. It is a shame to lose part of ones culture.
The American Indians are slowly losing their language.
Fascinating facts. Having lived in the next county to Cornwall for ten years I never knew this fact. Thank you so much, I found it very interesting and enjoyed your photos.
Very nice photos, lots of color sitting on that water.
Thanks for your visits, sorry I haven't been around much, it seems this whole month of April has been busy, busy, busy. Have a great week-end.
It has long been a desire of mine to travel around the British Isles and experience all the little out of the way places. There are such a delight of them in Cornwall alone. You have show this to perfection.
Thank you so much!
These are wonderful reflective photos, Wil; and Cornwall is a great place to visit.

Groetjes
