Morning Light breaking through the Branches

lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

I saw this rising sun last week Tuesday, when we were going to sing Christmas Carols with our choir.. You can see more of the skies around the world for Sky Watch by clicking on the Sky Watch logo.
Sky Watch is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy & Louise
Thank you so much for this great meme, it's always a pleasure to participate, and see all the other skies around the world.

Oh how beautiful the thin cold light of a northern winter morning is! It is all so deliciously atmospheric, you can just drink it into your soul.
These really are exceptional shots, thank you.

Lovely pictures reader wil.
Is that a French bulldog I see in the photograph down the side of your blog? They are one of my favourite dogs.
Was pleased to still see the lovely header - keep expecting it to go! Happy New Year.

I enjoyed that atmosphere very much. Given the lyrics and song that you have cited, maybe you would enjoy this post I made in December 2007?

Beautiful light, your photos are full of poetry ...
YES! THERE are many french words in English, came with the conquest by William the Conqueror- and there are also latin words, of course .
A funny example similar to "mannequin":
Tennis, whis appeared in france in the XVIIIème century with the fashion of sports was is fact an old french word , "tenez":
/Dauzat:
Tennis, proprement"jeu de paume", abréviation de "Lawn tennis, de lauwn, pelouse et "tennis", lui-même issu de l'ancien français "tenez",en anglais"tenetz", exclamation employée par le serveur lançant la balle.

It's pleasant and interesting to photografthe sky!

Oh I just love that Happy New Year picture Wil. It reminds me of my childhood and you know what? We used to have a sledge being pushed just as the one one that card. I have often wondered what became of it. Fantastic.

Gosh, it's so beautiful... so tranquil.
How I miss scenes like these right now, I am happy to see these on the blogs so I don't feel too much of the "cabin fever" from these hard cold winters...
