The first couple of ducks were just in front of my back door. I tried to lure them into my house, but in vain, though they accepted my slice of bread.
The second duck I saw in a group of other ducks in a neighbouring village, it's a drake of course. All the other duckies were seen in a wildlife resort near the coast, behind the dunes. Ducks are the most common birds in my country.

Camera Critters is hosted by Misty Dawn. Thank you so much Misty Dawn.We all enjoy seeing and talking about animals. No matter how small or how enormous, they give us much pleasure. If you want to see more Camera Critters click on the logo in the side bar

I love the way they tuck their beaks in under their wings!

I have always loved ducks and swans and all birds. I especially love the mallards. How cool to have so many in your yard.

Mallards are such cute birds, great photos and the video is awesome, too. They would so have loved to get the bread, but the door is just too uncanny for them.

These are great shots!
I loved the videos - you'll have them eating out of your hands pretty soon. :)

How cool! You almost had them in the house. I wonder if they will come back for more at a later time? They are very beautiful birds.

Because they are so common, I sometimes forget how pretty mallards are. Happy Holidays!

Ducks are beautiful birds. Smart too! Maybe they thought the bread was a trick...a way for you to catch them for dinner. ;-)

Very pretty ducks! They usually catch on pretty fast. I think they will be back. :-)

I love how close you got to the ducks (or was it all the camera?)!
Around here, some chickadees learn to eat from your hand, if you do not have a dog around.
Thanks for sharing!
