ABC Wednesday, M for Musical Ship

The Musical Ship
Climb aboard Cooktown’s Musical ship, a unique musical playground created for young and old…no need to worry about getting seasick on this vessel!  Fitted with marimbas, thongaphones, tok-toks, chimes and doof (bass drum), a visit to this interactive sculpture is a must.
This Musical Ship invited the children ( and adults as well) to play

My eldest grandson in action

My one and only granddaughter at the time ( 2008)
We arrived in Cooktown on 25th July, 2008 to stay with my Australian daughter and grandchildren. The first thing we saw was this ship , which was a
great surprise.

We thank Denise Nesbitt, who created ABC, and we must thank Roger too for the weekly job to find  ten bloggers for each of the ABC Team members  to visit and to read their posts. For more interesting ABC posts click on the logo in the sidebar . This week we are looking for words    beginning with M.

The way the sail of this ship is fastened is super creative!
(now I know that some people in Holl. use the word "super" in almost every sentence:) )
Your grand children are now 5 years older! Hope you have seen them since 2008.
My "M" word on my watercolor post was "mind blowing".

How fascinating! Your grandkids look like they had fun. I would too if I saw that around my place.

PS I scrolled down and saw your Literature Quiz.I'll come back and see if you're going to make it into a meme, like once a week. It's great for fun research. I scrolled down some more and saw the photo and the first words out of my mouth were "the boy who dared to ask for more!" Exciting posts!

What a fun ship! Imagine setting sail in that, it would be endless hours of entertainment. Or torture if the person playing the music was as talented as I am on any musical instrument. :)
