ABC Wednesday, U for Under Water World.

Every body who has seen the Great Barrier Reef , knows what is meant by the Under Water World. It is a world which is so fascinating that you want to stay there for a while. It's a fairytale world.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Great Barrier Reef lies off the coast of Queensland
Country Australia
***************************************
The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometres (1,600 mi) over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres (133,000 sq mi).The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
I have seen this Great Barrier reef twice. Both times we were in a boat with a glass bottom so that we could see around us. The first time, in 1996, my daughter and I went swimming near the  Quicksilver platform, where the Quicksilver catamaran, by which we were taken to the Reef, was moored. My husband didn't join us then, but he took photos. (not these photos!)
The second time was in 2000.
Oh my goodness Wil, those are incredible. I wish I could visit the Reef. (The glass bottom boat would be wonderful for me. I have claustrophobia and can't handle snorkling. I love to swim, just can't stand the mask on my face).
