From left to right: Antigoni, me, Marina. The presents from Marina and Antigoni were beautifully wrapped in cellophane. The bottom photo shows my "oliebollen".

Sunday 2nd January I was pleasantly surprised, because I got a visit from my two Greek blogging friends with their families. Antigoni (http://antigonisdiary.blogspot.com/) was visiting her sister Marina (http://marinaslifefamily.blogspot.com/) in Brussels and thought they might come to my place, which was a tremendously great idea. We were happy to see each other and even had the feeling that we have known each other for a very long time. Marina brought some delicious Greek cakes and sweets. She is a wonderful cook. It was a pity they had to leave after an hour and a half. We had so much to talk about. We hope to meet again soon.Their children are lovely and speak English or French already.Marina and Dimitri have two daughters, and Antigoni and the second Dimitri have three daughters.

I was a little nervous the first time I met a blogger I didn't know before I started blogging. Now I find it very interesting and the strange thing is, you feel like you did know them. I think we sometimes know more about our blogging friends than we do about those who don't.

I'm so glad you got to enjoy meeting your Greek blogger buddies.

Many thanks for your hospitality!!! You treat us as we were friends from...ever!!! Your sweets were great and your coffee, too!
As we were approaching your house my little one asked me:" are you nervous mom?" "Yes" I answered " but I hope I'll find a great person there..." And I DID, WE DID!!! I hope this will be a start of a long friendship!!!
At this very moment Antigoni is making their suitcases. They're leaving on Friday. I hope I'll see her in Summer. I hope you'll come to Greece and meet us or stay with us so we can treat you back!!!

Yes, I, too, have socialized with many bloggers here in Hawaii -- Kay (above) was one of them! That is the Aloha spirit.

Like Kay, I was nervous when I had my first meet and greet but because of the openness of blogs, it is more like a reunion than a meeting.
So glad you had a wonderful time.

I've met a few blogger friends and it has always been a very wonderful experience. Bloggers are some of the nicest people in the world. I'm glad you enjoyed your meeting with Antigoni and Marina.

Sounds as though you are on the start of a good friendship.

It must be amazing to meet a blog friend, I have no idea what that would be like. It is true that it feels as though I am getting to know so many people through our blogs.
Your oliebollen still look wonderful!

Yes, Wil, I have found the same when I have met blogging friends - it seems as though we have known each other for years.

If you manage to find out when glass began to appear in windows please let me know (I suspect that for centuries it was only for the very rich).
