In this theatre, sitting on these benches we were watching Aborigines from Queensland dancing and performing their skills, such as fire making, finding bush tucker(food) and playing the didgeridoo.

RuneE of Visual Norway
began this informal meme on "Bench of the Week". Please visit his site for other participants. PERBS has a whole site dedicated to benches called "For the Love of Benches", which is going on for two years and every day she posts a new bench.

Tout à fait inédit et original!
J'aime aussi beaucoup cette peinture aborigène, est-elle faite sur écorce ou sur tissu?
Meilleurs voeux 2010, à vous et à votre famille!

I love the Aborigine art!

The whole occasion must have been very special to attend. One feels set back in time - and present at the same time. And sitting well too :-)

No benches from me this week, but I hope for some next week, but I suspect they will be more fitting for the current Norwegian climate...

Lovely, interesting photos, Wil. Somehow, the Aborigines remind me of our Hawaiians.

That is an interesting ethnic show Wil, and the benches are cool, I can get comfy on it. Have a wonderful new year!

Nice benches for the show -- am surprised that no one was sitting on them! Maybe the photos were taken of benches before the show started! Thanks again for linking my bench blog! You know, my friend, Malyss in France also has a bench blog she posts to daily. It was because of both of us that Rune started his bench of the week! Check out her blog at this addy:

Terrific header photo as well as those on your post, Wil. We bought some aboriginal art when we were in Australia and have it hanging on our wall. It's very beautiful and intricate.

What nice photos of the theater. Benches look a little small, from the front to the back, where the bottom has to rest. LOL

I also checked out the blog about benches, just never thought about having a blog just on one item like that.

Here's wishing you, your daughters and grandchildren a very happy, healthy new year.

Je me rappelle bien la musique en Indonesie qui était si belle, la musique avec les instruments de là-bas. Je vous souhaite une bonne et heureuse année avec beaucoup de bonheur et une bonne santé.
