Yes - I agree reader wil - I always think diamonds are vastly over-rated - they are so hard and cold looking - roses - give me a bunch of them any day.

Quelles merveilles !

Geronimo, dernier chef Apache, 1829-1909

Emma Goldman might not be too pleased with my mum. Mum used to put rose petals in the fillings of her pork buns.

My husband mistook camelia with roses. He was very happy to announce the rose bush from the neighbour but comes over our side of the fence has bloomed. I knew it was too early here, and he went and plucked it for me.

Love Emma's quote and will probably incorporate it into my conversations when people go on about how geat diamonds are.
Beautiful shots but then you never disappoint.

Can't I just look at and smell the flowers while wearing a diamond ring on my finger? lol

I agree -- the real beauty in this world is all around us.

Great post :) Sue

Wow, beautiful flowers. Wasn't Emma Goldman the American communist, who ended up in Moscow very unhappily? If I recall correctly, Maureen Stapleton played her in Warren Beatty's movie "Reds".
