Today's Flowers.
Camellias in my back yard. Click to enlarge!
Narcissus from my front yard. Click to enlarge.
Narcissus or Narkissos (Greek: Νάρκισσος) in Greek mythology was a hero from the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. In the various stories he is exceptionally cruel, in that he disdains those who love him. As divine punishment he falls in love with a reflection in a pool, not realizing it was his own, and somehow dies out of frustration.

To die from frustration must be an agony. I like the flowers. And my goodness your backyard must look a little like a paradise with things so pretty. We are still looking at frost and freezing temperatures in the morning and sun the rest of the day. But it never does get warm, warm. Just a kind of virtual warm. You think it is warm but it is only an illusion.
Gorgeous flowers, Wil. I have yet to see budding flowers in my neighbourhood.
Not sure that camellias smell but I know narcissi do and from your photographs I can almost smell them reader wil.
Beautiful flowers! This is the first time I see pink camelias! I knew they existed but I had always seen white ones!
Happy Easter!

Thank you for sharing! Those are exquisite flowers. I like seeing camelias, I don't have any because the rain is so hard on them so I enjoy other peoples! Have a very blessed Easter week!
Both the camelias and the narsicus are absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful photos of both. Thanks for sharing.

Both are very beautiful. Our camellias start blooming in late January or early February here, although some varieties will bloom later. The one you have pictured here is lovely in its color and variegation. That is a lovely narcissus, too.
Wow, what a great detail of the photos. I love the white ones, they look so dainty. Thanks for the comment but yes, I do forget about the tweede pink dag, when is it celebrated? :)

Beautiful!
Not long after I was married, my elderly landlord used to bring me a camelia flower when he came to collect our rent. He has long passed on, and when ever I see a camelia bush, I think of him.
I had not heard the story before about the man dying from frustration because of his reflection. Your flowers are a refreshing sight to see!
great capture of beautiful flowers. happy easter!
Beautiful flowers today! I thought the first was a rose..looks like a rose...but I know it's not.
As you already know I love camellias. The pics are amazing -razor sharp. Which camera do you have? We (or my hubby rather) are looking for a new cameera.
These flowers are beautiful. You must be having a great time sitting in the colorful garden sipping coffee/tea. :)
Hope you had a great Easter! I was holidaying.
BEAUTIFUL camelias ... remind me of my childhood garden.
