Sky Watch
Exactly ten years ago my husband and I shared our last spring. That's why I thought the following poem so true.
It was a night of early spring,
The winter-sleep was scarcely broken;
Around us shadows of the wind
Listened for what was never spoken.
Though half a score of years are gone,
Spring comes as sharply now as then-
But if we had it all to do
It would be done the same again.
It was a spring that never came;
But we have lived enough to know
That what we never have, remains;
It is the things we have, that go.

Very poignant words matching these beautiful photos Wil.
Perfect Sky Watch with poem.
The photo is beautiful, and the poem brought tears to my eyes.. I cannot imagine that. Something that most of us will face one day, but something we don't like to think about.
Oh my, this really touched my heart. A beautiful tribute.
You know I send hugs your way.♥
Catching up a bit. These are wonderful shots but in particular the first one were the sun just lights up the edge of the car silhuettes. That is a very neat catch indeed. The colours of the sky in both are so vivid and strong. Really lovely.
You have your sweet memories of your loved one left. It's hard to loose a loved one too early but you knew a great love and have the marks in your heart as long as you live. As long as he's in your thoughts he's not really gone. He's just somewhere on another plane.
so beautiful photos and thank you when you visited the home village of pages! nice weekend!
Is hier een grijze dag
maar kom je toch een zonnig
weekend wensen.

So very beautiful verses befitting the wonderful sky and a lovely tribute to your late husband.
I actually quit Rotary because of what you said, Wil, but it has been years ago now. That and the high meal prices.
This is very touching, Wil.
RuneE as so often does has echoed my thoughts perfectly. Such a personal heart wrenching post.
I am touched. God bless. And thanks.
Great and inspiring that you live a very inspiring and graceful life despite going it alone.
Your writings and your photos are all witnesses of your survival.
Thanks
