Sky Watch

Exactly ten years ago my husband and I shared our last spring. That's why I thought the following poem so true.

Posted by Picasa

It was a night of early spring,
The winter-sleep was scarcely broken;
Around us shadows of the wind
Listened for what was never spoken.

Though half a score of years are gone,
Spring comes as sharply now as then-
But if we had it all to do
It would be done the same again.

It was a spring that never came;
But we have lived enough to know
That what we never have, remains;
It is the things we have, that go.
Sara Teasdale

It is very difficult to make a comment on a such a subject with so personal text with very fitting pictures. So let me just say that you have all my sympathy and what goes with it.

I lost him in Winter. My very favorite time of the year..
I finally stopped asking why and looking for answers. He is always here...I should have known..

A fitting poem to a sad time in ones life. And beautiful pictures to go with that.
I lost my husband two winters ago. The things that will never be and yet--are. MB

The photo is beautiful, and the poem brought tears to my eyes.. I cannot imagine that. Something that most of us will face one day, but something we don't like to think about.

Catching up a bit. These are wonderful shots but in particular the first one were the sun just lights up the edge of the car silhuettes. That is a very neat catch indeed. The colours of the sky in both are so vivid and strong. Really lovely.

You have your sweet memories of your loved one left. It's hard to loose a loved one too early but you knew a great love and have the marks in your heart as long as you live. As long as he's in your thoughts he's not really gone. He's just somewhere on another plane.

I actually quit Rotary because of what you said, Wil, but it has been years ago now. That and the high meal prices.
