These pictures of flowering trees and bushes are all taken in Greece. The top photo is dill(but I am not sure actually), then follows a tree which we called a Judas Tree, because it has many flowers but it doesn't bear fruit. The two last ones are an orange tree and orange blossom.

These are beautiful, i can't wait for spring to come, we are still having snow right now.
What is sweeter than the fragrance of orange blossoms? Miss them since I left Florida.

En fait, l'"arbre de Judas" doit se traduire par "arbre de Judée", l'arbre auquel Judas se serait pendu était un figuier de Barbarie.

C'est vrai Miss Yves! Ce que j'ai appris,c' est que l'arbre s'appelle l'arbre de Judas, parce qu'il a beaucoup de fleurs promettant beaucoup de fruits, mais l'arbre est trompeuse comme Judas. Il n'y a pas de fruits.Naturellement il y a plusieurs de légendes, qui sont très intéressantes

The first does not look like the normal garde Dill which has flat florets rather than balls.
We were in Olympia when all the Judas trees lining the collonade to the stadium were in full flower. It was an unforgettable sight.

A Dill Tree ? The Judus Tree looks like what we call a Redbud, which blooms with the Dogwood Tree.
Maybe that's why they both bloom at Easter? You have got me curious now my sweet teacher !! HA!

I am in AZ and the oranges and lemon trees have fruit already!It is so exciting to see blossoms when we travel that we would NOT see in our own part of the world!
I was going to guess a redbud also. I have never heard of a dill tree. I always learn something when I visit you Wil!

Several bloggers asked me why the tree was called Judas tree.Well our guide said that one explanation could be that the tree has many flowers and looks promising, but like Judas, it is a liar for in the end there is no fruit.
Please continue to comment in different languages. I was sincere and not being a "smart mouth".
