On a sunny afternoon in February last year a friend of mine and I went for a walk in the polder not far from here. The same walk my husband and I often did.

With all of the nice scenery, it must have been a very pleasant walk with your friend. And you also have all the fond memories of the walks with your husband.

Les célèbres polders...
C'est un paysage très joli qui me rappelle, en France, la "Venise verte", ou Sèvre niortaise.
Thanks for sharing !

It is a lovely set of photograhs, Wil. I hope and pray I will soon be able to get outside and then be able to walk some. Right now I can only walk a few steps and am totally out of breath. Part of that is due, I think, to me being in bed most of November and December and January and then setting around, not doing anything up until now. My lungs are supposed to be shot and I guess they are. I know it sure is hard to breathe.

I do want to be able to go somewhere when it is warmer and take some photos. I often went in the past and seldom planned anything, but just began taking photos. I have had all winter to look at last year and see where I could have done better.

You can comment now on my other blogs. In fact, on Tuesday, my brookville blog will have many photos. A collection of photos all in one post. And all are closeups. The bird blog will do the same.

I hope you have time to visit.

What a lovely set of slides! Beautiful country, I love the reflections in the water. What polder area is this? I know polders on Schouwen-Duiveland, and this looks more wooded and mature. Of course a lot of the Zeeland polder was destroyed in the Ramp of 1953. Thanks for sharing these, Wil!

Groetjes

A wonderful post Wil. Walking along with you was a shere pleasure. The views along the walk were so pretty. It is all so relative what to someone is winter. To me these images looked like spring but then I guess it looked more like that over here too last year at this time.

Scrolling down your post 'closer to heaven' took my breath away. Magnificent landscapes and photos.

Beautiful slideshow of your walk in nature. I like my walks down by Lake Ontario but the days are still chilly.
