Australia, the first week in January:
After a week of sweltering almost lethal heat we had a torrential downpour of rain, which made us all feel a lot better. Even the Australian people I know had complained about the heat and told me that this was not normal. The rain was very welcome, for even the vegetation around the house was brown and almost dead. So here comes the rain!

How lovely with warm rain when it's needed!
A wonderful downpour... have been reading about the terrible heat there. Wasn't sure if you were still there or not.
I'm happy for you that you got some nourishing rain. Carver, ABCW Team
There is nothing like refreshing rain. It cools the air and waters the plants.
Please send some of that to us here in California.
We Desperately need rain.
I think perhaps you are home again now Wil - is that so?
Rain after that oppressive heat must be so refreshing.
Loverly Rain! I post about it tomorrow as well, dear Wil.
Wishing you well and happy as always

Glad you got the rain you wanted and were able to cool down...
I read about the extreme heat in Australia, glad you got the downpour. We have extreme heat in Texas as well, rain is always welcome, well except for when it floods :)
Wonderful rain!
We are getting rain here too, and since it is winter in the USA, we are glad it is rain and not snow!

That is very coll. How would like to drench myself in it. Thanks for sharing.
I cn relate to that! Our Brazilian Summer is extra hot this year, and only last night we had some rain, after days of heat. It's always welcome! :)
Time for a hot cup of tea. Lovely rain.
Rain glorious rain!! We needed moisture and we just got it with 11 inches of snow.

That is certainly a most welcome downpour Wil - we seldom get that glorious abundance of rain here in the semi-desert - doesn't it just make you want to go out and stand in it and feel the wonderful swishing of raindrops!
Well, not drops really, - more buckets of rain...
I wished the sun would pour down on me, lol ! We are very spoiled concerning rain !
It must be a big relief after the sweltering heat. The falling drops look beautiful.
happy for your area getting needed rain. The rain on whatever it was hitting was loud, but a welcoming sound I'm sure. Our state of Californis needs rain desperately. Some cities will soon be running out of water.
Can imagine the relief the rain brought!!
Beautifully captured
I'm glad your town got some rain!
RAin would be such a relief here in California. Conservation restrictions are being put in place now since many communities will run out of water sooner than later. With California's history it seems that we should always be in conservation mode. Really enjoyed your video of the rain.
Glorious rain, indeed. That's the kind of rain I want, tropical rainfall, not the kind of rain we get over here that makes every place flooded.
finally seeing some rain here in our part of California...so yes a relief..And loved the photos around your house.tropical rains are the best!
California would be really envious. They are experiencing a horrible drought. I'm glad you're having a great time.
I just glanced at the comments you received and noticed that many others have commented about the horrible situation in California.
I was away from the Internet and missed your downpour post. Glad you got some much needed rain. - Margy
