Our World Tuesday, A new grandchild!!

Welcome to Our World Tuesday! This meme continues in memory of the work of Klaus Peter, whose "that's My World" brought people together from around the world every Monday to share the wonders therein--big and small. Please click on our new logo for "Our World Tuesday" in the sidebar.

My daughter when she was a baby more than 40 years ago. Is her daughter going to look like her?

Last week Tuesday my daughter in Australia gave birth to a beautiful little daughter. I have this second granddaughter not seen yet, but I have booked a flight to Australia in July. The baby was born in a hospital some 300 kms from her home. To Dutch standards it's very far, and a long drive by car. In Australia it's quite common.

Congratulations Wil. What an absolutely splendid excuse to go to Australia. If she is as beautiful as this one in the photograph then she will be a lucky girl.

Such joy!
Yes, what a lovely reason for a trip to Australia.
I wish the little one much joy. She's lucky to have a loving grandmother.

What a great smile on your daughter in that picture. Congratulations to your daughter and to the new grandmother.
Yes that is a long trip for someone expecting a baby. One really has to plan ahead in Australia.
Enjoy and July will be here soon.

Congratulations Wil, I'm sure it's difficult to have to wait so long to see both your daughter and your new granddaughter! Do you have Skype? I'm sure you'll get lots of photos thru the internet, too!

If that isn't a reason for a blog post, I don't know what should be. No wonder grandma is going south soon!

Congratulations to all parties concerned (but in this case primarily to you :-) )
