Monday Doorways, Our World Tuesday, Gouda, Lazarus Gate II
Last week we saw the Lazarusgate (1609) from the outside. This week we see the same gate from the inside, sitting in the museum garden, having a nice cup of coffee.
Inspired by a post by Eric Tenin of a Parisian doorway, «Louis» began posting on Mondays photos he had taken of doorways in Paris. To participate click on

Oh how nice to see it from the other side as well. It really is such a beautiful gate, I am glad it is so well restored too.
Have a lovely week my friend.
It's truly a work of art and a very beautiful gate.
Have a lovely week Will.
De l'autre côté de la porte (et non du miroir) c'est toujours aussi beau et surprenant.
Love the detail in their faces. Just beautiful. That should never be lost.
They don't look very friendly these two ladies, lol !
A lovely spot for a coffee break.
It always makes me happy to see things not only restored, but restored beautifully! And what a beautiful gate this is! Thanks as always, Wil, not only for sharing your wonderful photos, but the interesting history as well! Hope you have a wonderful week!
Sylvia
It is a beautiful gate and it is lovely to see both sides. A pretty place to sit and relax with your coffee.
You got good captures along with your cup of coffee. :)
Such a pretty town. The expression of the faces of those two women is priceless!
Beautiful structure...wonderful painted sculptures. What a special place to visit. Love the colors on the sculptures. genie
