Monday Doorways, Gouda, Museumcafé

Posted by Picasa

What's behind that door and those windows?
Well behind these windows and door you will find the museumcafé. The museum was a hospital in the middle ages. When the weather is warm we take our coffee in the museum garden( see post of some weeks ago).

I hope we can share coffee there someday, Wil.
Your door today is certainly unique with all that water below.

I hopped over here from Carol....I always love meeting new interesting women from all over the world.
I've not been to The Netherlands...but someday I hope to go. If I do....I will find your museum.

Ce doit être agréable de prendre un café dans un lieu aussi intéressant et aussi plaisant!

You do have a beautiful country, Wil. And it is a perfect place to explore and take pictures. As you probably know, the entire history of this country is around 300 years with the civilized part beginning again after our Civil War. Before that, the industrialized North were better known for slums and slum landlords while the South was best known for its beautiful plantations and high-brown society. Of course the slavery gave the genteel the time to load and play parlor games. We just don't have anything as neat.

That looks like a lovely place to relax and enjoy a cuppa.
I must sound naive when I say I only knew Gouda was a cheese. Duh, me.

Wil, you are too modest! «Louis» will never forget that YOU inspired him to begin Monday Doorways!

This looks like a cheerful place to have a nice cup of coffee! «Louis» wishes he could visit in person...
