Sky Watch, The Netherlands,

On Tuesday we had an enormous downpour with hailstones like marbles. I was afraid that my windows would be smashed, but fortunately they survived! This video was taken at the end of the rain! So you can understand how it was in the beginning of the hail shower. I was really scared!

Gosh Wil, I had no idea the storm was so scary. There is little defense when Mother Nature starts throwing ice rocks at you.
So glad you windows survived and hope there was no serious damage to anything else.
There was a bad storm like that south of me and the car dealers are having huge sales on hail damaged cars.

Glad you got through the hail storm okay. We had one so bad a few years ago that we had to have all our siding replaced on our house and the roof recovered. Lots of the cars in the area had big dents in them, every square inch looked like a hammer had been taken to them, but fortunately our car was under cover at the time.

It is coming up to cherry time in the Similkameen, and the danger of hail is always present in the minds of the orchardists. Great captures, but scary...

When Mother Nature decided to hit you hard, she does it well! This was one impressive rain and hail storm. We have not had one of these this summer, but our time will come. I love the idea of the “movie.” Genie

I don't blame you. We had hail storm once and it scared me to death it's my first time to see hail and it's not even as huge as a marble but the sound is scary!! Good to learned your windows survive and you are okey. ^_^

wow - interesting that the hailstones are hitting your window

i got caught in my car in a hailstorm once, with golf-ball sized hail, i pulled of the side of the road and tried to ring my husband but the noise was so loud in the car i couldn't hear him on the other end

but he got my call and wondered what on earth was going on with all that noise!?!

Hail storms have the effect of inducing awe and fear at the same time. Glad to know your windows survived.

I´ve never lived that kind of storm. I saw hurricane, some years ago, when I was in North Caroline

It´s good that you didn´t have any damage.
nice day

Thank goodness you didn't get much damage. I remember when hail ruined my entire tomato crop. But marble sized hail would really do terrible damage to your car.

Large hailstones can be not only frightening but very dangerous as well. My daughter had just got back to her hotel in St.Louis MO this week when 3" hailstones started pelting down. I'm glad she arrive home safe and sound yesterday.
