Sky Watch, Weekend Reflections, Meeting Kay D. from Canada.
Interior of one of the windmills
These past few weeks have been lovely sunny. On 22 March I cycled to the windmills, which took me only 15 minutes. I waited there outside the souvenir shop for Kay D., who is one of the Canadian bloggers. It was a kind of blind date, but she e-mailed me that she would be wearing a red T-shirt on which "Canada"was written. I recognized her immediately. It was nice to meet her and her husband. While he went to have a closer look at the mills, she and I were having coffee in front of the souvenir shop. We were chatting about bloggers we both know and how wonderful it is to meet so many different people and cultures.I had the feeling as if I had known Kay for a long time. The weather was nice and sunny and I am glad that my Canadian blogging friend saw my country in the best possible weather. If you want to visit her click on

Lucky you and Kay to be able to meet and at such a special place.
Today I am going to meet a blog friend from Norway.
This is my first time to see the interior of a windmill. I love that living space!
One of our two old windmills in Jerusalem was also lived in, by an architect, 1935-41.
I enjoy the pictures of you bloggers together.
heheheheh about your cats.
My girl friend traveled abroad. She got our other friend to cat sit. The cats clawed on the furniture. Th cat sitter did know how to tell the cat owner. If it was today. I would suggest she uses nets heheheh.
What fun to meet up with a blog friend!
I have met several and find them to be just the same in person as on the blog.
How exciting to see the real windmills.
Happy Easter!
Hi Elizabeth! I'd like to go to your blog but I ahave no access, so I thank you for your visit and comment in this way!
Yes - it IS fun to meet other bloggers, isn't it? And wow, what a lot of windmills all in one place! Was that a particularly windy corner or is it the equivalent of the modern 'wind farm'?
Nice to see you. :)
Isn't meeting a blog friend just the best? We actually know quite a bit about each other through our blogs and it is more like a reunion than a meeting.
Loved the pictures of you enjoying each other.
The world keeps getting smaller.
A lovely encounter for you and seeing your windmills makes me happy too.
Dat is leuk een blogger te ontmoeten uit het buitenland. Bedankt voor je bezoek aan mijn blog. Groetjes, Marianne
Oh, I love the windmills, Wil! I've never seen the inside of one! These are fantastic!! So glad you and Kay were able to meet! I've met up with several blogging friends over the past year and it is delightful! Fun to see the pictures of all of you! Hope you have a very Happy Easter! Enjoy!

I always enjoy meeting up with bloggers - they seem like old friends don't they? Love the windmills and am amazed at the things inside them.
What lovely windmills... and how wonderful to meet a fellow blogger from over the ocean.
sounds as though you had a wonderful visit. Loved seeing the inside of a windmill!
How wonderful to meet friends in the blog land.

Great post, Wil! How nice that you two had so much to chat about.
Wow I have not seen so many beautiful windmills. And the landscape is so pretty the inside is awesome!

I like that "old style" of windmill. I'm impressed to see so many right next to each other.
Wow, what a collection of windmills. I've been reading about them my whole life and I just live photos of them.
Wil, these are wonderful photos. I love the interior shots of the windmill, especially the cupboard bed!
It's a long time since I've seen that many pictures of myself, however.
I'm so glad we were able to have our visit while Dick walked around taking pictures. Sitting and talking and enjoying the beautiful day was great!

So photogenic, those windmills.
Better than our modern windfarms.
Such refreshing pictures.
I like the enclosed bedstead. Must be cozy and warm.

How wonderful to meet our blogging friends here or IRL (in real life)
Your windmills are much more lovely than the big modern ones we are now getting here :-)

Your header shot is great:)
Until now I was under the impression that interior of a windmill would be dusty or run-down...
Beautiful photos, - the windmills and the river boat. Love the picture of you and Kay, - so nice for you to be able to meet and chat.
It's so much fun to see your windmills, Wil. I do have such lovely memories of them. I wish Kay could have seen Keukenhof during the peak season though. I felt just like you about Kay. It seemed like I already knew her. Isn't blogging wonderful?
Very enjoyable post!
I love your pictures! The setting is some place in my dreams! :) Beautiful!
Hope to see you at The Sky in my IDLENESS entry of mine! ;-)
How fun to meet a fellow blogger!
I love the windmill pictures - it's fun to see a place and think "Hey, I've been there!" - even if it was years and years ago. What wonderful memories!
What a special treat to see your countries beautiful windmills...and the inside. I did not have a clue there was an inside like you showed us. Is that a little bed in the corner? I have yet to meet any of my blogging friends in person, but I hope that I will soon. I know you all must have had a grand old time together. Happy Easter.
