Psalms Challenge, Psalm 16

From 9 April till 19 April I will take a break and I 'll answer comments lateron. My entries will appear on my blog for they are all scheduled.

1Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. 2I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you."
3As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
in whom is all my delight.

4The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply;
their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
or take their names on my lips.

5The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup;
you hold my lot.
6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

7I bless the LORD who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.
8 I have set the LORD always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

9Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
10For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.

11You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Les Psaumes Merveilleux de David : Psaume 16
16.1

16.5
L'Éternel est mon partage et mon calice;
C'est toi qui m'assures mon lot;

16.6
Un héritage délicieux m'est échu,
Une belle possession m'est accordée.

16.7
Je bénis l'Éternel, mon conseiller;
La nuit même mon coeur m'exhorte.

16.8
J'ai constamment l'Éternel sous mes yeux;

16.11
Tu me feras connaître le sentier de la vie;
Il y a d'abondantes joies devant ta face,
Des délices éternelles à ta droite.

Thank you for this beautiful post...the music and French singing is so lovely. It was an interesting (and pleasant) experience for my uni-lingual American-culture brain to listen to the French while reading the Dutch, understanding barely a word of either language. But my spirit understood, for even so, I was move to tears by the music. I send you best wishes for a blessed Easter season.
