Sky Watch, Ecolution

Free as a bird. Lonely as the sea.

Ecolution is a sailing yacht, which will sail year round and world wide, summer and winter, throughout the world, operated by her two owners. A professional crew is not needed. Living on Ecolution for extended periods is intended so she will be built to feel warm and comfortable, like a home.

Please do read the previous post about Wubbo Ockels, the innovator and inventor of this ecologically-sound ship, which is in fact a very luxuriously furnished home

Sky Watch is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy & Louise
Thank you so much for this great meme, it's always a pleasure to participate, and see all the other skies around the world. If you want to see some real skies please click on the logo in the side bar.

Amazing! We once toyed with the idea of living aboard but we already had too many books to make it practical. Now, of course with electronic books ...

Outstanding SkyWatch pictures. The boat looks like a fun place to spend a few weeks, however, I don't think I would want to live on it year round.

Sounds interesting, worth experiencing I am sure.
Great shots.

Les deux premières photos sont très poétiques...
Quelle netteté dans la deuxième série!

What a stunning vessel, though I'd prefer to stay on Terra firma!

I love the wake of the boat and the gulls against the clouds, and I wish I could sail just once on that lovely ecosensitive yacht.

Nice photo of the ship and the birds...I noticed the Bike is also teathered to the dock cleat that the ship is teathered to...good idea..keeps people from taking away their ground transportation.

This looks fascinating - hadn't heard of it. must ask hubby's niece if she ever heard of it, she worked with luxury yachts bringing them to different ports for their wealthy owners. love your photos of the Veluwe too, never been there.
All the best, Catherine

I think it would be wonderful to spend an extended period on that yacht. It's a beauty and it definitely looks comfortable.

What an appealing life - to live on a boat and travel continuously but still be at home.

What a beautiful ship. I could definitely make that home. Living on the water was a long ago retirement dream. Wonder where it went.

That is the most sparkling clean head I have ever seen on a ship.

Looks like the boats that James Bond movies will screen.

I don't have luck with boats, I get sea sick, even smallish launches that go up and down our Rejang river when I was young make me sick.

I've always had this wacky idea about living on a ship. lol
For these people it's a reality. wow.

Interesting boat picture and concept. I have thought it possible to construct a floating house that goes with the wind but nobody will take me up on it. You may end up over Siberia in the morning and China on Sunday and pass over Iwo Jima on Tuesday. Things like that are most interesting to me. Who owns the right to float in the air? Nobody has done it yet.

That's an incredible boat, to be sure. That must be an incredible life on a sailboat.

Thanks for your post on my blog. I was deeply touched.
