Today's Flowers

Outside it's still cold, although the first signs of spring are showing. My son-in-law cut some bare branches of a cherry tree and put them in a vase in my house, and see they are blossoming already!

Beautiful sight! I'm going out right now and bring in some forsythia to force inside! Thanks for jogging my memory about this!

Lovely, Wil!

My daffies are blooming as is the forsythia, and the peach and pear trees are budding. We have 65F and sunshine today. A beautiful first day of Spring.

Happy spring, Wil!

Hugs,

Renie

Worth having a few less cherries later in order to have these flowers near you now.

I do love cherry blossoms! We had a sour cherry tree in our backyard in Illinois and loved it. The flowers were gorgeous and we could share the cherries with our friends for cherry tarts and cherry pies. I love your photos.

For Gigihawaii: Actually I've heard they have a few flowering cherry trees in Wahiawa (it's cooler there). I have yet to see it myself in spring but they do have them...surprisingly.

Cherry or any other blossom in the house after a long cold winter certainly warms the heart and raises hopes of spring.
My mother used to bring pussy willow branches indoors as soon as the sap started to ris ane we children had the joy of watching the balls of fluff develop while our little fingers were busy stroking their vervety coats.

I love the blossoms on cherry trees. I have to go to my neighbors to take a good luck. We never planted one. It was really cold today where I live. Have a great Sunday!

Love the vibrant yellow colour of your header photo. You must be glad to see all the flowers.

I must try and do the same with a cherry branch.

Fruit blossoms are amongs my favorites of the flowers. Here in Arizona we have already had pear and peach, and the plum trees are in bloom now. A few apple trees but no cherry trees in the desert.

I agree with Kathy about fruit blossoms. My plum tree is just getting ready to burst into glory.
Spring is wonderful.
