that's My World, Eighth March, IWD Video.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!
As long as women are discriminated against especially in Africa, Asia and for religious reasons, we need to celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March. As long as there is male superiority in our world and women abused, stoned to death because they have been raped, we need a special day to support women. As long as women are treated like inferior creatures , subject to abuse and forced to marry the men their fathers choose for them. As long as women are not treated with respect we need IWD! Men and women are equal in my country, thank God! And in all other countries in the Northern Hemisphere. Thanks for visiting. Last year a man asked if Women's day was still necessary! Well the video answers that question.

Is niet de eerste keer vandaag dat ik dit lees. Spijtig dat zo een dag nog moet want iedereen zou al lang dezelfde rechten moeten hebben

It is a shame that women are not treated better all over the world. I have five of them in my family and love all of them -- four girls and one beautiful wife, Patty.

You did well to post that, Wil. It's hard to watch but necessary.

I agree Wil. This day is so in need of honoring and remembering. We need to help make changes in the world where these crimes are committed.

I do so agree with you, Wil, and your other readers. It is hard to watch as Vicki has said, but necessary. You and I are blessed to live in countries where we aren't abused and I give thanks for that every day, not just for me, but for my two daughters. Wonderful post! Thank you!

Wat leven wij in een heerlijk land met gelijke rechten voor man en vrouw.

The discrimination saddens me too.
I am with you in what you say. Great post.

Women should be treated at par with men. Any discrimination is not fair. Very nice post. Thanks for posting on this subject.

Watching that film made me feel sick to my stomach, so hard to believe that some men think this is right. Do these same men have women in their families and are they treated the same way. If not, how would they feel if they were. It's very disturbing.

An outstanding entry of yours.

Yes Wil, we are lucky to live where we do, but even in our own countries there is abuse. We cannot see behind closed doors....

Terribly sad, isn't it, Man's inhumanity to Man?
It is a story of power and control, by those who do not have power and control.

Thanks Wil, we need to stick
together and force change.

I posted about a woman you may or may not have heard of.
Progress grinds slowly.

I watched the video, and ached for those poor women.
Rape the women - rape the Nation. Very true.
Not a nice post but necessary.
Shame on those males, they are not Men, more animals.

It's a rough world. God help those women.
