Weekend Reflections, Camera Critters,
Click to enlarge to see more details!
These cows are a common sight in our polders, where grass grows in abundance. The fields are separated from each other by ditches filled with water. We always hope that these ditches will freeze over in winter, so that skaters can enjoy themself to their heart''s content!
This is a new meme which gives us the opportunity to show our best photos of reflections. It is a meme that is started by James. You can join this meme at some time during the weekend. Just post your photo and go to James to tell him that you are on.
Camera Critters is hosted by Misty Dawn. Thank you so much Misty Dawn.We all enjoy seeing and talking about animals. All creatures great and small give us much pleasure. If you want to see more Camera Critters click on the logo in the side bar, or on Misty Dawn.

HI Wil........I love the reflection pictures! Hope you are doing well! It won't be long till you will be showing us ice skating pictures again! xoxoxo :)
Great shots of the reflections. Poor photog that I am, I would have missed that all together and just had a shot of the cows grazing. It is all in the eye.
It's really beautiful!I like these animals, they are sweet and frindly (I grow up on a beautiful farm in South of Brazil).
Great reflections!
Happy weekend Reflections dear friend, well done!

Eeuw, somebody has been in the mud. :)
Nice upsidedown cow.
Moooie reflectie ...
Fijn weekend
Anya :)
Nice photos, I like the second photo the best. Apparently that's why the cows back and legs look so muddy, crossing the ditches.
Happy week-end.
Maybe this will be the year when you have a really good freeze Reader Wil - then there can be the big skating race (can't remember what it is called.)
I really like this, Wil. Something about the black and white pattern on the cows being reflected in the water. Lovely.
Je me crois en Normandie!
De beaux reflets, très nets.
This is certainly a reflection for me - about 20 years ago on my first visit to family in Holland I vividly remember driving with my Auntie and her telling me about the cows and the polders! What are polders and did Australia have any polders, I wondered!!!
Visiting the family home in Haarlem and the conversations with my Auntie about cows and polders are my most memorable reflections of Holland.
Cows of this sort are the most common dairy cows over here. Ours are called Holsteins but I believe in Europe, the same or similar cows are known as Friesians. (I may be wrong.) In any event, the reflections are striking!
That last anonymous was me -- Blogger is being strange.
Prachtig zoals de koeien gereflecteerd worden in het water
Dutch cow - the best in the world! I am showing my prejudice LOL
Great to see a pic of you (right column)when your husband was still there, Wil:)
Hopelijk wordt het een mooie dag zoals gisteren, geniet er maar van
very nice I love the polders We lived in the polders near the german border before we moved to NZ
Pictures of cows are always fun and reflected, very cool!

I love this. Years ago I used to collect cows. I stopped when I realized that every time my friends saw a cow, they thought of me. LOL I collect angels now. :-)
Ah! «Louis» appreciates these fine photos of his kin!
We zullen ons vandaag binnen moeten bezighouden denk ik want de regen valt hier met bakken uit de lucht.
