Weekend Reflections,

Posted by Picasa

This is a photo from Indonesia, where the earthquakes took place this week. This catastrophe is reflected on the little boy's face.

I got a comment from Cherie, whose home country is the Philippines, and who is so sad about all these disasters in the world. What can we do about them?? I am sure we all can find a way to help. Cherie has a lot of suggestions. You can go to the blog of Cherie.

Next week I have a photo reflection, which I had ready for today, but this is more important.

I, too, have heard from Cherie and I know she appreciates your passing on this information. We do need to do what we can to help out.

What a wonderful way to pass this information on to us, Wil. Thanks so much for your touching message.

I think there can be no greater cause for absolute terror than for the ground to open up beneath one's feet reader wil. I have just watched footage on the TV news and there are so many people still beneath the rubble - and a whole school of children. Life is just not fair, is it.

Seems like the world is coming apart. The people are coming unglued and the wildlife is leaving us.

I followed the link to your friend Cherie and left a comment. I also noted the addresses she published to send donations. It seems that every week another disaster happens; it is so hard for the people concerned. Here in Georgia some people are still in shelters having lost everything. It does not matter in what country one lives, when your house is washed away it hurts. We must all help each other.

It is important to reflect on the needs of others and how we can help. You are helping by passing the word.

Things that are so unexpected and leave behind such devastation are very hard to come to terms with. Prayers are with all who have suffered. Thanks for visitng my blog Wil, I am afraid I may have misssed a few of your posts. Going to check them out now.

We are glad that the Typhoon that we were expecting this past weekend did not really land. But I fell sorry for Philippine. It was devastated by last one and this new one just pass through it then stay near by. It suppose to move north through Taiwan, but now it is turning back toward Philippine again. It will dump more rain on this already rain soaked country.

What a horror. Thanks for lifting up this sorrow that we might all respond in a helpful way.

Thanks for visiting my blogs, too.
