ABC Wednesday N for Nursery Rhymes

Posted by Picasa

NURSERY rhymes are often used to teach children(and adults) the English language! At least I did! And they are so delightful, that we always remember them! Try to find out which NURSERY rhymes are represented by these collages.
BTW the girl baking the cake is my granddaughter!

ABC is created by Denise Nesbitt and a team of experienced bloggers, whom we thank for their work. For more interesting ABC posts click on the logo in the sidebar or Here. This week we are looking for words beginning with N.

Pussy cat, pussy cat, where have you been? I've been to London to look at the Queen.

I love nursery rhymes and think I get most of these -- the last has me stumped though

First of all, your granddaughter is beautiful! I can just imagine the joy she brings to you! And, yes, my first thought was the "pussy cat, pussy, where have you been" rhyme, too. Fun post and a great N word!

Enjoy your day!

What a great idea for today! I'm wondering if one of the photos is "London Bridge is falling down."

As always something to test the grey matter and fun too. Unique way of using the letter.

I love those old nursery rhymes - and tracing some of them back to their source can sometimes be quite a shock.

I couldn't place the first one, the second one would have something to do with the cow jumping over the moon, the third with London Bridge that's falling down and the fourth one is about Miss Muffet and the spider scaring her away.
I think!

Great N

Dear Reader, - you never fail to entertain, - great post. Nice picture of the Queen, no wonder pussy looks so pleased with herself, having just made the trip to London and back.

what a lovely cat, there's something amusing about her photo being next to the Queens' even though as Vicki commented there's a nursery rhyme to connect them...

Je connais et reconnais"london bridge is fallind down"!

"Twinkle, twinkle, little star"me rappelle Alice in wonderland !(est-ce l'habitude le le chanter sur un air de Mozart? )

Beaucoup de romans d'Agatha Christie se basent sur des Nursery Rhymes: c'est très excitant !
