A chat with a complete stranger at a busstop.
=============================================
The sun was shining, so I didn't mind waiting for my bus. There was another passenger waiting, she looked at me and smiled. "Wonderful weather, isn't it?!" she said.
"Yea", I said, "These past few days have been great with really warm weather!" She said :"But the weather forecast for tomorrow says we are going to have rain and may be a thunderstorm". "Oh are we?" I felt disappointed. She smiled and answered:"At least today is great. Let's enjoy it, while we can!"

This chat happened in... the Netherlands, England, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Australia... It could have been anywhere in the world. We always agree with anybody about the weather. Fortunately!!

Thank you Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy & Louise
for this great meme, it's always a pleasure to participate, and see all the other skies around the world. If you want to see some real skies please click on the logo in the side bar.

For the most part we are enjoying really gorgeous weather here in the northwest these days, but then September is usually a really good weather month. It'll be changing soon, but with the change comes the lovely colors of autumn! And I guess we've all had those "weather" conversations with strangers. One more way that we are all more alike than different.

Have a great weekend, Wil!

Rainy here today in the mountains of north Carolina, USA. After several years of drought, we welcome the rains.

You are very right, when Sunny it is very enjoyable. The weather here cloudy and rainy. It is very gloomy. But it is still very nice.

We've been having some beautiful weather this week, but we could use a little rain.

As for the Oreo's they are a chocolate (hard) sandwich cookie with white stuff in the center. This time of year they also have them with orange in the center to look more like something for Fall or Halloween.

The English do enjoy discussing the weather reader wil. We have a saying here though, - there is no such thing as bad weather - just wearing the wrong clothes for it.

What a very original 'take' on the subject. We've had 'glorious' weather for weeks, but we're still moaning because we need rain!

I enjoyed reading this, Wil. It's always good to enjoy good weather when we have it. But most days are pretty good, actually...even in winter.

It does seem to be a popular topic, doesn't it? It's good most of us can agree about something. ;-)

Thank goodness for weather - it gives the chance of an introduction to so many conversations! I like the saying "there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing".

I always agree that your shots are beautiful, Wil ;-]

Very interesting and a great post for SWF. I was told when there is nothing to say, talk about the weather. It has worked for me all the time.

A different take on watching the sky! I'm glad there is something we can [almost] always agree on!

Weather, - a great conversation opener, - and it amazes me how often the weather turns out just as they predicted - and how often it doesn't.....

Ah onze Frank Deboosere! Een praatje over het weer breekt altijd het ijs.

How true is this statement. You must be a very friendly person to talk to a complete stranger.

No worries about the tagging business. This was the first time I came to know what tagging is. Next time, I will decline too.

Have a great weekend.

We still have hot and humid weather here but on the bright side, we always have sunshine.
What a wonderful reminder that we all can agree on some things.

Have a wonderful weekend, Wil
be well, be happy... Pam

Weather is a sure fire conversation topic of total strangers. Great take with the different weather men/women. I adored Weaver of Grass's saying
"there is no such thing as bad weather - just wearing the wrong clothes for it." Perfect.

What a fun idea for a post :-) I've had that chat a few times myself. Weather is always with us and easy to talk about to anyone.

Ha! I enjoyed this post Wil...Great for skywatchers, ja? BTW, here's a link to my girl's blog, I know it's not been updated for months now coz she's quite busy with school but you can mostly see her artworks there. Just browse through and you'll see some cartoons on later pages. Enjoy en een fijne dag voor u en uw familie...

Something in My Mind

Hello Wil,

Patty and I were out the past few days, loading my trash pile into bags and taking them to the city and putting them in a large trailer. The city then hauls the trailer to a dump and dumps it for a fee. We pay $1.00 for each bag that will hold quite a lot really.

The trash pile has been collecting for several years and is composed of cut off flowers, grass, things that grow but no wood. Anyway, we took a total 12 bags. When we got to the bottom of the pile it was all dirt. Beautiful stuff. We raked it here and there and planted some grass seed to cover the bare spot where the trash pile was.

I mention all of this as we have had bright sunshine and no rain for a long time. We really could use some rain as it is dry. September is almost always a dry month here as is August but we get rain, usually in October.

I contacted with a large landscape company to redo our front yard with new stuff. Lots of money but Patty has to mow the lawn now and this will reduce the total amount to mow in front by about 2/3 and make it easier for her.

My best wishes to you and to your family from Patty and me.

Hi Wil !!!!

Besides all that, the weather here in the Netherlads is quite crazy ! We can have all teh seasons in one day...

I posted some pictures I received from a friend. If you have some time to go to see them... it's nice to see animals finding their way to get rid of stress... hahahaa

If it weren't for the weather, how would we strike up a conversation with a stranger? We would have to talk about their shoes. LOL Great post, Wil.

Hello Wil,

I happened upon this blog today or this morning and was immediately impressed by the artwork. And then I discovered she is from Amsterdam. Do you by chance know her or of her?

Hope you and your family have a nice Sunday.

Back again... Last time for now.

I spent one day restoring Patty's computer. She clicked on an email she had sent that could not be delivered and was returned. She was curious as to why it wasn't delivered and clicked on the notice. Well, it was a "worm" that locked her computer and wouldn't let her do anything. When I got up the next day, she came out in her PJs and said, "My computer won't come on."

I had to reformat the hard drive and return it to the factory, new, condition. She lost everything on the computer. I feel sorry for her as it takes a lot of time to put her things back on the computer that she had saved on an external hard drive. Beware folks. If you send an email and it comes back, you should not open it.

I have not been able to get around much of late.
