In this lovely French garden the honeysuckle was in full bloom, on 20th June. Today mine are starting to flower here in the Netherlands. There is apparently a great difference in temperature between the Netherlands and the region south of Paris.

Just seeing the honeysuckle brought back memories of my grandmothers garden and how much she loved the sweet smell of the flowers.
Thanks for the sweet memories, Wil.

The wild honeysuckle is out in the hedgerow here reader wil - the smell is divine. I love that all-pink one in the photograph.

The honeysuckle looks nice, Wil. Mine is blooming as well and it has been attracting the hummingbirds.

Love honeysuckle. I planted a bunch to cover my fence only to discover I picked a variety that has no fragrance. At least the hummingbirds like it and it is a pretty coral.

These are wonderful pictures of the honeysuckle. I only wish we could enjoy the fragrance as well as the pictures.

Beautiful honeysuckle -- the pink one is new to me. We have lots of the wild cream-colored -- and oh! the fragrance!

Honeysuckle is a favorite of mine as well as my daughter Erica. It grows wild where she lives in Washington, D.C. These are gorgeous photos you've shared, Wil--thanks!

De superbes gros plans sur le chèvrefeuille.
C'est étonnant comme les noms de ces plantes sont différents, en Anglais et en Français ...J'aime bien "Honeysuckle"!

That garden looked as it came right out of a fairytale, bench and all. I didn't know they even made them like this any more. Not to mention the pictures and flowers - thank you for sharing!

PS Takk for kommentaren! ;-)

Nydelige honeysuckle!

Beautiful French garden, Wil. I love honeysuckle. We have it growing wild here. It covers all the pasture fences, all along my gravel road, and smells heavenly! We even have some of the pink ones, but the cream and yellow are more prevalent.

Lovely post!

Hugs,

Renie

A very beautiful garden and the honeysuckle is lovely. My pink honeysuckle is blooming but does not look as good as the one in your photo.
Have a wonderful week.
