Can anybody tell me what kind of bush this is? It's in my back garden, Carol and several other bloggers told that they were sure it is a Deutzia ! It is named after Dutch naturalist Johan Van Der Deutz. Thanks all!

I really don't know but it's gorgeous.

I read your earlier post and am shocked by what has happened. The newspapers were full of it. It's very sad and I understand that the man responsible has now also died. It looks like the end of such a lovely day, perhaps never to be seen again. I'm really very sorry about that.

Abe might know, but I don't.
But what ever it is, it's a beautiful little bush full of blooms.

A very beautiful flower. Thank you for sharing. I thought it might be a Mock Orange (Philadelphus) but concensus is Deutzia. Both beautiful. MB

We have a bush something like it here in Florida and we call it Star Flower. I don't think the leaves are the same though. They are beautiful, whatever they are!
