Camera Critters On a cycling tour.
Terribly tired but wonderfully satisfied, I've just come home. I put my photos on the computer and found a few, which could pass for CC. We had been cycling for three hours. The weather was splendid and we enjoyed the ride through the polders.(A polder is low-lying land that has been reclaimed and is protected by dikes, especially in the Netherlands) We heard and saw many birds and in the meadows the cattle were grazing and sheep were peacefully lying together. They had been shorn already.
Camera Critters is hosted by Misty Dawn. Thank you so much Misty Dawn.We all enjoy seeing and talking about animals. All creatures great and small give us much pleasure. If you want to see more Camera Critters click on the logo in the side bar.

Beautiful critter pics. Everything is so green and the animals look so happy.
Cycling tour in my busy city is too difficult. You got some nice shots!
Your cows look so shiny clean and the sheep look so healthy.
I'd love to go bike riding with you someday, Wil.
Your Ascension post is beautiful too.
Wo, you still go on biking tours - I am impressed, Wil! And it gave you good close ups of the sheep:)
Riding on your bike here is difficult (unsafe!), unless you take the bike in/on the car with you and ride in the country.
Are those Friesland sheep reader wil? They look so clean and sparkling - it must be wonderful to get all that wool off. Hope the weather does not turn cold for them though.
What a satisfying activity it must have been. You got to enjoy the beautiful scenery and interesting animals as well. Lucky you! :)
Happy weekend! :)
I love your photos!
Wonderful day! I wave to cows when I pass them in fields - they seem to understand.
Beautiful pictures! Love the baby sheep!
Hi! I'm so happy I stopped by your blog! The CC shots are great and also your story. ^^) I loved everything around here, it must have been sth amazed to have lived in Indonesia and Java, you sure have beautiful pictures in your mind. The animal, they're all soooo cute! I've just told Rhea (another CC player) how much I love cows! They have such deep eyes!!! I should go now, I am pretty long most of the time... but I'll be around more often. I'm following you. Kisses on your cheeks, take care and keep smiling dear.
Lots of love from Brazil.
Hi Kenia, I tried to comment on your blog, because I liked listening to your voice. Very original way to introduce yourself! You speak very well English and your accent is great. Thank you for your visit and have a great weekend,
Wil.
Fresh shorn lambs are so sweet looking. What a lovely bike ride you had
Oh my, if I had been cycling for three hours, I doubt I could walk once off the bike. Looks like you ahd a lovely ride with so many things to see.
These are very attractive photos, Wil. Glad you are able to get out and about.
Hi Wil,
Love your pictures of the animals. The sheep are very cute. When you say the "polders" is that like the rural area there? I'm just curious what polders is. A three hour bike ride is pretty good! I ride around the country roads (gravel roads) on a 4-wheeler. A little less strenuous than a bike. Haha. But I also see lots of animals. Have to try camera critters one day.
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Renie
Oh I love cycling and I have borrowed my mothers bike in Holland
No better country to bike than Holland Nice pics
Oh that brings back memories. I was born in the polder, Marknesse, and later moved to Ens. Later still to Elburg where my father worked in the, then brand new, polder. I cycled many a times from Elburg to the workplace. Wonderful.
And the sheep shorn already! Here they are still in their wooly coats.
I am ashamed to say I didn't go on a bicycle ride to see these cows and sheep yesterday. I went by car, and saw some black sheep.
I wish Auckland is not hilly, it is too difficult for me to cycle. In fact, i haven't really cycled since I was in High School. I tried cycling my son's bike, and I keep wobbling, so i decided to stop before I make a fool of myself falling off the bike.
Kudos to you,
Cheers,
Ann
On se croirait en Normandie !Vache normande au premier plan, vaches hollandaises à l'arrière-plan, herbe bien verte et moutons, comme ceux de la baie du Mont-Saint -Michel !
Bon dimanche !
I love the sheep :)
so sweet
sounds like a great day
Great shots! Seeing cows like this always remind me of the California cheese commercials. :-)
Wonderful photos and so perfect for CC :-)
Sounds like you had a wonderful day !
Cycling is such good exercise. Your photos of the farm animals were wonderful to see.
Love the sleeping sheep - something very calming about that.
Looks like Holstein cows...
Have several of my own...
