That's My World : Paul and the Gospel

The icon I bought depicting Paul, the Apostle who was the first in Europe to preach the gospel..

This week is dedicated to Greece the cradle of our civilization. And thanks to the Apostle Paul who started preaching here, we learned to know the gospel and the Bible which inspired so many people in art and music. Sorry to say, but the Bible was, and still is, also used by people with bad intentions, who didn't want to live like Christ and his apostles.
Anyway for me the Bible is part of My World and consequently the apostle who brought Christianity to Europe is also part of My World. So Greece, where I came in April 2007 for the first time, is part of My World. My World doesn't stop at the borders of my country. That's what I learned through blogging. I have met people among you, who could have been my soulmates. We have sometimes so much in common that I am surprised.

That's my World is hosted by Klaus,Sandy,Ivar,Wren,Fishing Guy & Louise - a Team of experienced bloggers, whom we thank for this wonderful meme. You can see more of the world of other bloggers by clicking on the logo in the side bar

What a nice and thoughtful post! No, our borders are not our own countries, and that is a very good thing!

I do so agree, reader wil - blogging has opened up a whole new world to me. I can put a photo of our farm on my blog and get a reply from friends in New Zealand in an instant. If I hadn't blogged I would never have met you and my life would have been poorer for it. Thank you for being a blogger. Love the Greek header by the way.

Louise, thank you for your visit always and kind comment.

Patty and Abe, you two are the blogging friends, whom I have known now for at least 4 years, I think. First on EFx2, now here because Patty advised me to do so. I don't regret it.

Dave King, nice to meet you! Thanks for your visit.

Weaver, I agree with you, blogging brings the world in our houses. I am glad I met you too.

Carol, that would be nice to meet blogging friends.

Greece - I love Greedce -we went there for 9 days - only stayed in Athens though- wanted to go to Corinth, but no time. The distances there are much bigger than we anticipated. Paul has had much influence through his travels on Greece. I love his writings!

Agree with you and all regarding bloggers. I am a newby but have all ready met such interesting people.
Saul of Tarsus was an amazing missionary responsible for bringing the word to the gentile world. He put Christianity on the world map.
Also agree with Imac. The header is wonderful.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! What an interesting life you lead! I'm looking forward to learning more. I'm so sorry your husband didn't get to experience his youngest grandchild, but thankfully, there's another reunion later on!

Greece is a beautiful and interesting country, I'm always amazed by what the ancient greek already knew (and what was forgotten). While no Christian, consider the Bible to be an extremely important book - it's vital to the understanding of Western culture.

By the way, if you ever come to Hamburg and feel like gaming, let me know ;)

Wil, I think you speak for many of us with your words. I look forward to the day when lines on a paper map are no longer barriers.

Lovely post Wil. The last image is interesting. Have you made it yourself or is it from a poster of sorts.
I've been to Greece several times and I have always enjoyed myself enourmosly. Such friendly people, lovely climate and grand landscapes. The plite of the animals is the only thing that saddens me in that country.
