I got these hyacinths for my birthday on 4th December. They were in bloom at Christmas and created an atmosphere of spring, by their sweet smell and lovely colour.

Wow, I can't imagine those blooming in December. I have some in my yard but they are not coming up yet. Nice shots!

How lovely the hyacinths are! I love the blue and the green colours very much, and, hyacinths are heralds of spring. I love the first picture best, it's a loveley composition!

Hyacinths are lovely (even on TV!), so that was nice present. Thank you for the comment - I have been told in another comment that it is probably a form of Azalea, which seems right to me. And, yes, it was blooming today.

The scent of theese flowers is lovely! In Norway you can buy them everywhere for Christmas. Love the first picture! Mine was blue too...:)

Beautiful...my late mother loved them and I always bought some for her in January. I haven't bought one since she passed away but maybe I should. I do however have a beautiful amaryllis that will be blooming shortly, doesn't smell as nice though...ciao

What a lovely splash of color. I am looking for ways to add some color to my home. But alas, I have a very brown thumb so all plants must be of the silk variety. You've given me a great idea though.

This bring back memories- my parents in Holland always got some bulbs to grow them each year - lovely color have these ones.
