For sale Free Range Eggs ( click to enlarge)

My sister and I were on a walk, when we came across this farm, where a lot of chickens came to welcome us. We saw this notice board saying that free range eggs were for sale. I always try to buy free range eggs from farmers who keep free range poultry. But what are free range eggs? Well you can see this here

Camera Critters is hosted by Misty Dawn. Thank you so much Misty Dawn.We all enjoy seeing and talking about animals. All creatures great and small give us much pleasure. If you want to see more Camera Critters click on the logo in the side bar

I am sure the eggs will be delicious as the hens look so happy. I too have hens and let them roam at will in the fields - the yolks of their eggs are a golden yellow. Happy hens make wonderful eggs!

Neat photos Wil.
Here we have the same confusion about the use of the word "organic".
Some produce is labeled such but in fact may be free of pesticides but not fertilizers - and vice-versa.
Organic is always way more expensive which doesn't make a lot of sense if the grower uses neither pesticides or expensive fertilizers.

Hey, Wil..........
I have debated getting my own free range chicken as we love the eggs.
However, it might not be worth it since I already get eggs from a family member. It would be something else to feed and to tie us down from traveling. We already board the dogs, get the neighbor to feed the cat and keep an eye on the cattle, I hate to ask him to feed chickens too. Life on the farm ! I love It! Good lookin chickens though !

We used to have chickens when I was growing up. They were white ones and once one of them feel in a can of green paint so we used to see if she was going to give us green eggs. Kids think the funniest things eh?

We have all hens at our backyard as free-range. True, they are happier but the problem would be the big lizards who wants the eggs too! I miss the sounds of those in the morning!

We often see free range chickens here in Tennessee.

Such pretty browns chicks with little red heads.
You can't always be sure I guess of 'free range.'
I always remember my Grandma putting hers up at night in the 'coop' and letting them out in the morning.

The picture is great. I have to agree with Janice about the organics. I am not fond of eggs usually but I do love them deviled. I love your header photo. I am been meaning to mention that. Have a great weekend!

they are so much healthier looking than the chickens you see in petting zoos which is the only place I've ever seen a live chicken

Great shots of the chickens! I played this week, too. :)

Fresh laid eggs wonderful. I do love to bird and animals running free, but there is so much confusion these days.

They make the better egg, especially when they are fresh. My wife's side of the family all lives in Belgium, and the eggs there that they get, fresh from the farm, are to die for.

I have always liked the speckled brown hens the best. I have forgotten why some eggs have brown shells and others, white.
