ABC Wednesday Z for Zillie Falls

This summer, when I was visiting my second daughter in Queensland Australia, where she has lived now for 14 years, we visited some waterfalls in the Tablelands. One of them is the Zillie Falls. These falls are not spectacular like those in other parts of the world, but... they are beautiful. Well see for yourself. The two first photos belong to the Zillie Falls in Queensland, Australia.

The third photo represents the Millaa Millaa Falls and the bottom one is the Ellinjaa Falls. There is a lovely viewing platform at the base ...

It's not just the appeal of falling water (which one can practically hear in these photos) but the tropical foliage around them that make them so special. It reminded me of my love for Brazil and its landscape. Thank you for sharing them!

I too have visited those falls and they have a really tropical feel to them. When I visited some 'real' falls, the Victoria Falls in Africa, I couldn't really enjoy them because, with my glasses on, they were all steamed up and with my glasses off I couldn't see anyway! Maybe I should go back now I've had my cataracts 'done'.

So lovely! I love all three of the waterfalls. The prettiest water falls I ever saw were in Puerto Rico. It is very beautiful there. Hope your week is filled with many wonderful moments!

Perhaps they're not Niagara or Victoria Falls, but I think they're spectacular nonetheless. The scenes look like paradise to me!

Beautiful waterfalls as much other treasures to be found in Australia.
You can read the book through the link, and I am presently recovering from my operation before Christmas. Later this month another hospitalization will take place for eye operation.

De belles chutes d'eau ...Que veut dire"Zillie"?
Les mots qui commencent par Z en Français sont plutôt originaux, et beaucoup sont d'origine étrangère.

What a gorgeous part of the world and your photos of it are beautiful. I looked at the flooding photos also. What a mess. We had flooding like that just recently in Washington State...

What a beautiful, peaceful spot. A picnic on a spring or autumn day, a comfy chair and a book, and I'd be happy!

Just so long as there are no crocs in that there water!
