Thinking of Holland

When things are spectacularly dreadful; when things
are absolutely appalling; when everything is superb and wonderful and
marvellous and happy - say these four words to yourself.

They will give you a sense of perspective
and help you also to make the most of what is good
and be stoical about what is bad.

This too will pass

Claire Rayner

Hello again Wil. You must have posted shortly after I left a comment on the previous post. I love the Dutch windmill. They are so fascinating. I had a small wooden one in my flower bed in Florida, but the strong wind storms tore it up. I now have a plastic one with metal blades and little solar panels on top which lights it up slightly in the evening. I liked my wooden one better. Can't have everything!

Lovely photos, Wil. Thanks. I like them all but especially enjoyed seeing the windmill. (I'm fascinated by them.)

I also very much appreciated your comments concerning "This too shall pass." It's a reminder that I've often called upon.

The countryside in the Netherlands is so lovely. It looks restful, even though it takes a lot of energy to keep a place looking so nice. ;-)
Happy Sky Watch!

I have enjoyed my visit to the Netherlands. I don't think I've been here before, if I have I don't remember. The pictures are lovely, and I will be back often to enjoy your beautiful photos.

I visited your wonderful country and stayed for about a month - a lifetime ago.....wish I could remember the town's name I stayed in. The Grommer family was just wonderful to me and showed me just about all of Holland. Your excellent photos bring back many wonderful memories. What a great SWF post!

And Claire Rayner's word are so needed for the here and now. Thank you.
