Camera Critters Tree Frog

One night when I wanted to wash the dishes in my daughter's house in Cooktown, this little guy appeared on the doorstep. He was so slow and therefore I could easily take some photos. There are always plenty of Green Tree Frogs in her house around. They are like pets and very useful, for they eat cockroaches! Two of her tree frogs hid behind a painting on the wall, others in the bathroom.
The Green Tree Frog is larger than most Australian frogs, reaching 10 centimetres (4 inches) in length. The average lifespan of the frog in captivity, about sixteen years, is long in comparison with most frogs. Green Tree Frogs are docile and well suited to living near human dwellings. They are often found on windows or inside houses, eating insects drawn by the light.
The frogs can climb walls and trees. They are so green that it looks quite unnaturel. They hardly move and you can't see them breathing.

Camera Critters is hosted by Misty Dawn. Thank you so much Misty Dawn.

GREEN is right! So interesting to see so close, the texture, the little feet pads, and those stringy things on him.

I love that first photograph. I'm so jealous of your photography skills. I just don't have the patience to do more than point and shoot. This was a great post. And I had no idea that a frog lived that long.

Such a cute critter :) Tree frogs are my favourite frogs, they are so incredibly photogenic (but so noisy sometimes...)

That is a green frog! Your green frog remind me of a little puppet character here in the USA, named "Kermit the Frog" he is also green. He is a cute little frog, just like your cute little frogs.

Great close ups! We don't have those critters around here. They make Kermit look dull. :)

This frog looks very happy. I have never seen a happy frog before.

He's a handsome little critter. I don't know if I could get use to having them pop into my house. Our son in Fl sometimes would have small lizards get into his house and they usually would head to a potted plant.

Have a good Sunday. Your's is probably almost over.
