Autumn Bushes in Bloom

Every Saturday morning from 10 to 12 I sing in a choir for elderly people in this building behind these bushes. I always have my camera with me. When I left the building I saw these bushes in bloom. I was surprised because it's autumn, a season with mushrooms, toadstools and berries. But, no there were clearly flowers and next to the yellow flowering bushes, were the bushes with dark purple berries.I took photos of all the bushes. The purple berry is called Callicarpa.

Today’s Flowers is hosted by Luiz Santilli Jr. Thank you, Luiz!To see more flowers click on the logo in the side bar

Oh my! Those are gorgeous berries. What an awesome colour. The yellow flower looks familiar but cannot think of its name.

The clusters of the purple berries are such a lovely purple. Are they eatable?

That purple seems out of place in nature. :)

I don't think I have ever seen berries that paler shade of purple! They are so beautiful!

I have seen the yellow flower (or similar) in Australia, but have no idea of the name! Our variety seems to flower twice a year ~ Spring and Autumn! Quite odd!
