Today's Flowers

Posted by Picasa

All these flowers were found in the Tablelands, Australia : Orchids, Weeping Bottlebrush or Wilderness Red.The middle one is called Pentas Lanceolata.

To pick a flower is so much more satisfying than just observing it,
or photographing it ... So in later years, I have grown in my
garden as many flowers as possible for children to pick.

Today’s Flowers is hosted by Luiz Santilli Jr. Thank you, Luiz!

Oh, I used to love picking flowers as a child. I would roam the fields for hours with my dog. In those days there were loads of wild flowers.

It's lovely that you grow them for children to pick and they are just gorgeous.

These are beautiful! I have seen the pentas, but the other two are new to me. Love the bottlebrush, and the colors on the first flower are so stunning.

The bottlebrush one certainly looks like it's name.
I love that you plant enough for children to pick!
