Today's Flowers

I found this flower in Yungaberra, Tablelands, Queensland, Australia. I don't know what it's called. We had rented a caravan in Lake Eacham Caravan Park. There were lots of other pretty bushes and trees, harbouring lovely birds.

This is so unusual! I can't even guess what it is! But I love its striking beauty! It does remind me of a tiger lily in colour but the shape is quite different!

The first image looks like a mininature Tiffany lampshade! I love the 'veins' in the last image.
It is gorgeous - thanks for sharing it's beauty.

Isn't it unusual! What interesting colouring it has. It does look like a miniture Tiffany as Carletta mentioned.

WOW! What beautiful images of this flower!

"Louis" likes Carletta's comparison of it to a Tiffany lampshade.

Wil: What a beautiful contribution to Today's Flowers. I agree the colors do have the Tiffany look only designed by God.

My daughter is wanting to visit Australia so I'm sending her your link, if that's o.k.
Hope your week is lovely!

Wow, I have never seen a flower like this before. That's the fun of traveling all over the world and "Today's Flowers" is a great way of doing that. Thanks Luiz!

Reader Wil your photos are wonderful and thank you for introducing me to such an unusual bloom.

I remember having seen this flower, here in Brazil, when I was a boy. But I do not remember her name.

This looks to me like an abutilon Wil - possibly 'abutilon vesuvius' but I'm not positive. Whatever it is it is stunning. Beautiful photos of it!
