A grey sky over Cairns, Queensland, Australia

These photos were taken in July this year and in spite of the grey sky, it was not cold. They call it winter overthere, but it's tropical.

Dark sky over Cairns, Australia.
A few years ago, part of the Esplanade in Cairns, was turned into a pool, where children can play. There are even facilities for them to change clothes. Even on this gray day by the end of July, there were many of them playing in this shallow water.

I came for skywatch, and I do like those photos...but I love the photos of the kitties in your side bar. They make my heart just melt and I don't even know them...I love cats, dogs, etc--anything with fur for the most part.

With grey skies like that it's difficult not to associate it with cold. Happy SWF!

A safe pool is always a good idea, does that keep them safe from those jellyfish that can be so bad ?
Certainly a grey moment.

Those kitten photographs are absolutely lovely - particularly the one where the kitten appears to have fallen asleep in the cat biscuits (so full of them he can't move I presume)

Oh wow - beautiful. You can totally call this "where sky meets water" huh? Very nice.
