The call of the Proud Father

These are my daughter's turkeys. Three eggs were hatched. Three chicks were born. One kept crawling out of the cage and in spite of all our effords to keep it inside, it must have gone again and then been snatched by a snake or the goanna that had tried to get one of the ducks or turkeys before.

(These photos were taken in Australia. I have left it 3 weeks ago, but I shall show more Australian photos in the coming months.)

All chicks look alike! Had you not mentioned, and had I seen the chick alone, I wouldn't have recognized. Beautiful pictures all. Hope you get back the third chick.

Who knew baby turkeys were so cute. I think they should be called turks instead of chicks. :-) This was a first for me. Thank you for sharing your photos with us. Enjoy your time with your daughter.

What a wonderful slide show! The chicks are so cute (I'm sorry to hear that one of chicks was taken by a predator). Papa Turkey deserves to be proud!

Too bad about the one little chick. It's amazing that the Mother didn't step on them with her large feet.

That turkey is cute. When I am a little girl, always asked mom to buy baby duck about 10 chicks. I love to see them growing up..

Turkeys don't often appear on the CC theme, nice work.

Indrani says that all the chicks look the same and I have to disagree. They are all very different.
