Such beautiful photography, Wil. I see the photos of the sunrise up in the sky and it gets light enough to see the ocean below. That always bothered me when I flew over the Pacific Ocean. It seemed to me that it would be an extremely small person sitting in the middle of nowhere if we crashed. Either that or I would try to touch bottom and bob back up for air but that first step is a big one out there.
I flew across from San Francisco to Hawaii to either Wake or Midway Islands and then on to Japan. It was 26 hours of actual flying time in the air and we were on military planes without many luxuries.
I am glad you made it down there and back safely. Say hi to your family from Patty and I.
Thank you so much Abe. I also thought the same, that when the plane should crash it would be a great splash in the ocean and it will be a quick death for all of us. But I can imagine that it must have been a very long and tiring flight for you in a military plane. I am waiting for the time that I can say:"Beam me up Scotty"like in Star track. I wonder if I shall experience jet lag then.
Ahh the ecstasy of sunrise seen from up in the sky! I can hardly wait to see it too. Do you ever get those cranky seat neighbors or even flight attendants that want you to put down your shade to keep it dark a bit longer?
Great shots, I love the way the sky changes colour almost in an instant and sun up and sun down. Great SWF! Thanks for stopping by Photonic Harmony, all the best, Andy.
