The Windmills of my Mind...
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.
In January my last Danish friend died. I had known him for 54 years. His cousin rang me in December to tell me that he was very ill. Since he died his cousin and I kept writing and agreed that it would be nice to meet each other and today she came here with her husband and it was such a nice day we spent together. It was as if we had known each other for a long time, but we met only once before. Of course we went to the windmills, for it is not far from my house. The weather, which had been awful all summer, changed suddenly for the better. And the sun made the world brighter and greener. Compared to Australia my country is green! And I like it!!

How nice to met with a friend from years ago. Beautiful photos of the wind mills. Glad you all had a nice visit.
These are lovely photos but I am so sorry you lost your good friend after so many years, yet happy you were able to meet his family.
Thanks Patty and Denise!
We never really appreciate our home til we leave it sometimes. Love these windmills. How wonderful to meet your friend's family. Sounds like you had a wonderful time - sharing memories I'll bet. Excellent photos!
Thanks Janice. It was nice to meet these people and share memories of the family that died.
Lovely photos of windmills and glorious green on this post. And I'm happy that you were able to strike up this friendship that ended in a visit.
Thank you Nonizamboni, it is absolutely true.
What is that statue made from?? sandy
That statue is made of sand! It was beautiful, but it will be ruined with the first rain, a pity!
"Louis" is sorry to learn of the loss of your friend.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful images of the windmills with us.
