Waterlogged after the rain

Waterlogged! Last year we had so much rain that some of the fields were like swamps.

You're land looks so , I don't know how to say it, 'home spun'. I guess. Reminds me of a time past, when life was simpler. Maybe not, but looks that way, and it makes my heart yearn for those days,. Of course, I was a child, and childhood is simpler!

I hope you're not getting too much rain this year. We just had a thunderstorm, our daughter that lives across town from us, has lost her electric and her neighbor has lost her phone and electric. Now it sounds as though another storm is coming, I can hear the thunder. Guess I better fix Abe a bit to eat in case the electric goes off.

How beautiful. And Jerez is true - it has a ring of long forgotten past to it - especially the last image! Wonderful!
Cheers, Klaus

My goodness Wil you definitely were water-logged. Hopefully it is not as bad this year for you. The weather seems to be changing very much these days. Beautiful photos!

Thanks Jerez, I wish my country was home-spun, but there is too much industry and pollution. Economics seem to be more important than environment. The part I show are only to be found with a magnifying glass. There fore I take photos of these places. I also yearn for the times when we had no TV, and were happy with a simple radio or wireless.

Patty, thanks! No fortunately the weather is good and dry.I hope your daughter has her electricity back.We can't do without it, can we?

Hi Klaus, yea it has a ring of long forgotten past, as you say it so poetical,but.... five km further there are some factories and buildings which are so ugly. Do you know that in one of these factories the Eye of London was constructed? The Millenium Wheel, in 2000 the biggest wheel on Earth.

We'll trade you! Some of that waterlogged countryside for parched cracked earth. Yes?

Thanks for your visit to my Brookville Daily Photo blog this morning. I hope you enjoyed my post today showing the baby rabbit eating the poppy leaves.

I also wrote a longer piece on my Better Blog Writing about my Mom and Dad. See if you like the writing style. It is popular among better blogs.

Last evening, it was almost dark, when one of the baby rabbits came up to our patio door and wanted in. I was flabbergasted but only took a picture and didn't leave him come in the house.

I wanted you to know I stopped-in to repay your visit and leave a you a comment.

I enjoyed reading your blog post for today and I thought your photography was excellent.
